Nightmare Outdoor 2010 is already in the past and what a hell of a party it was!
On the website Partyflock the edition, held on the 8th of May, was qualified as “very good”, the organizers UDC and Midtown are, naturally, glad everyone had a great time.
Of course they want to thank everyone for coming, the party people are the ones who were responsible for the fantastic ambiance in the forests of Hellendoorn.

Nightmare
It is a long wait, but the next edition of Nightmare is already on the agenda.
On the 4th of December 2010, Nightmare will once again take place in Ahoy, the hardcore temple of Rotterdam. The theme for this edition will remain a secret… for now.

Soon, you are given the possibility to give your opinion on the new line-up, the areas, wishes, improvements, you name it. UDC and Mid-Town are going to make sure the voice of the hardcore people is central!

Last Saturday, Nightmare took place in the forest of Hellendoorn. With six different areas, a varied line-up, striking decoration and different types of entertainment we made it as comfortable as possible.

This edition was one to never forget. The weather didn’t match the predictions; instead of rain it was mostly dry the whole day! The hardcore beats pumped out of the speakers and the atmosphere was simply incredible!

UDC and Mid-town would like to thank all the visitors of Nightmare. We hope you enjoyed the event and we love to welcome you back on the next edition of Nightmare, the 4th of December 2010 in Ahoy Rotterdam.

Nightmare Outdoor: cancellation Lady Dana

Because of her health, Lady Dana unfortunately had to cancel all her bookings up to September of 2010. This means she also had to cancel her performance at Nightmare Outdoor. The official statement of her bookings agency is as followed:

“Travelling the world as an artist for 17 years is fantastic of course, but it also has its downside. (Lady) Dana has to take it easy for the upcoming period in order to recover. This means all upcoming bookings to the end of September 2010 had to be cancelled.

Also because of her Thrillogy hosting and her 15th anniversary as a DJ, it has been a hectic period. Then there is no hiding behind a rough alias and remains an individual after all.

After this period of rest we can enjoy an energetic (Lady) Dana on the stage, what definitely will provide a spectacle. Until that time, we wish you on behalf of Dana a fantastic summer.”

Because of her absence, a few minor adjustments have been made in the time-table of the Deadman’s tree area. The new time-table is as followed:

Nightmare Radio at location

The radio mast for Nightmare Radio has been placed already, you can listen live to DJ sets, live impressions, interviews, the hottest tunes, you get it all if you tune in to FM 105.5 Mhz! On your way to the festival you can already tune in to Nightmare Radio to be in the right atmosphere….
What do you get for only 42,50? The best possible line up with all hardcore heroes, a beautiful day in the forest of Hellendoorn, a great location filled with 6 area’s, a well balanced mix between open air stages and well equipped tents, a ***** star catering and of course the best possible crowd because you are there!
Freddy Kruger is, self evidently, also present and if he is in a great mood and meanwhile did not take you to the deepest parts of the forest, you can take pictures together with the “slaughter”…
Next to the hardcore area’s you will find lots of additional attractions around the area.

MINIMUM AGE
You should be at least 18 or older to visit Nightmare Outdoor. Don’t forget to bring your ID which can be asked for at the gate. Attention! No copies allowed!

DRESSCODE
Nightmare Outdoor has to be a great party again. Nationalistic or racial clothes are not accepted.

WEATHER
The organization does everything possible to give you the perfect day. It has no influence on the weather of course, so please bring rain coats and warm clothes if necessary.

SAFES
There are enough lockers available at the area to put your personal belongings in.
You can already make a reservation by checking www.lockerbox.nl and to get additional information.

CAMERA'S
You can bring your own camera to the festival. Professional camera;s or video camera’s are not allowed!

DRUGS
Soft and hard drugs are not allowed because of the local restrictions. At the gate you possibly will be searched.

Just like last year, Nightmare Radio will be broadcasting live!

DJ sets, interviews and live impressions from the festival will be available for you while you are driving to the festival or at any place you tune in on or around the area!

Nightmare Radio is the radio station you need to listen to, especially if you are a true lover of our Hardcore sound. We present you a station with a variety of hardcore facts and special interests.

This week a very cool function will be added to the festival site www.nightmare-outdoor.com which makes it possible to log in to “MY NIGHTMARE” and directly link to Face Book and Hyves!

If you log in via My Nightmare, first you have to create an account. In this account you can add the following information or data: your picture, name, username, personal information, favorite music styles, favorite artists and which newsletters you like to subscribe to.

If you log in to Hyves or Facebook, the information of your account automatically will be coupled to your Nightmare account. Besides that, a Nightmare account will automatically be created if you log in to one of the Social media. You can also add more information to your profile.

If you are logged on to My Nightmare, you can start being friends with other users (If you are logged on to other Social media, your Hyves or Facebook friends who also have their own account on Nightmare, will automatically be coupled!

Yes! With just one more week to go the First real Hardcore festival of 2010 will explode!

The trucks are actually loaded with all required decoration, huge tents, light, sound, camera’s, video screens, lasers, you name it and it’s there to bring you the most memorable day in the dark forest of Hellendoorn!

Whatever the weather looks like, everything will be done to exceed last year’s edition.

The Area located at the Luttenbergerweg is one of the most beautiful locations of the Netherlands to organize a great party at.

The forests, the sand (never get muddy feet if it is rarely raining), the catering, the environment… every last year’s visitor just went home with a tremendous feeling.For some people the ride towards the festival will take some while, but you certainly get the day of your life!

History of Nightmare

Did you know Nightmare was organized solely by Mid-Town in the past and from 2004 by Mid-Town and UDC? The first edition of these 2 organizations together was held in February 2004. After an absence of 10 years in Rotterdam, ‘A Nightmare in Rotterdam’ returned in February 2004 with ‘The Legend Returns’.

Did you know the last time ‘A Nightmare in Rotterdam’ was organized in the Energiehal in Rotterdam was the 21st of October 1995? Did you also know there were 9 successful editions of ‘A Nightmare in Rotterdam’ in the Energiehal? The Energiehal was wrecked to make place for Blijdorp Zoo and an establishment of hotel Domina. After the deconstruction of the Energiehal, the 1st hall of Ahoy was chosen as the ultimate location. This edition was so successful and a second edition in December that year was inevitable: ‘Never Sleep Again’. A separate present hardcore and an early rave area were present.

Did you know Neophyte and Panic always played an important role in forming the line-ups for Nightmare In- and Outdoor? Paul Elstak played a similar role with regards to the editions at the Energiehal. The honor of playing at the most editions is not his. It’s Darkraver’s! Still, Paul Elstak together with Neophyte and Lars are right behind him. This year, Ruffneck will turn the tables during a nightly radio program on 3FM hosted by Giel Beelen, called: Nachtegiel. He will do a DJ set and give a short interview on the 30th of April. Of course, awesome prizes can be won during the show!

Did you also know Ruffneck vs Neophyte at Nightmare was the first time these DJ’s were pitted against each other?

Did you know the burning cross at Nightmare Outdoor 2006 at the Binnenmaas in Mijnsheerenland caused so much commotion amongst the local, primarily Christian, population what risked a cancellation for the 2007 edition. Luckily the organization solved the matter and the weather during the event was fantastic.

Nightmare Outdoor: Still three more weeks to go!
With three weeks more to go, the patience of many hardcore lovers is tested. Nightmare Outdoor is the very first real hardcore festival of 2010. Hellendoorn was home to Nightmare last year and because of the fantastic atmosphere and the positive feedback from the public, this year Nightmare Outdoor had to stay at this unique location in the forests located near the Luttenbergerweg.

Like last year Nightmare is welcoming, besides the whole Dutch hardcore scene, many foreign guests for example from Italy, Germany, France, Belgium and even Russia has reported for duty! For our foreign hardcore fans it is the ultimate day off, relaxed in the bus, going completely insane and leaving the festival with the best feeling possible!

Naturally, our Dutch guests will also be able to enjoy this smooth way of travelling. Throughout the Netherlands, Event Travel is organizing bus travels from numerous locations. Completely relaxed getting in the mood with your friends. Go to www.eventtravel.nl, search for Nightmare Outdoor and click on the button ‘overzicht vertrekplaatsen’. You will find more than 104 locations from which the busses depart. So, you have a big shot of having one location near you.
Logically, a spacious parking area is near the terrain for everyone who travels on their own convenience. Public transport is also arranged.

How 'Enter the Timemachine' was brought

Did you know the concept ‘Enter the Timemachine’ was brought into existence in December 2006? This name was chosen because people could go back in time, where you wouldn’t had to choose between different sub styles and areas, but just having a blast at one location. The Sportpaleis was available for this edition, because Frans Bauer had to cancel his concert due a polyp on his vocal cords. Everyone was exhilarated about this ‘hardcore’ location, because of the hard noise and the comfortable seats.

Did you know the dancers at Nightmare are dancers of the dance academy ‘Djalita Dancers’? This academy was formed by ex-cheerleaders of the Amsterdam Admirals. The dancers will be featured with a photo shoot and an interview in the magazine Panorama in the first week of May. This year the dancers will be present again with a special act. The nature of this act will remain a secret, this has to stay one hell of a surprise…
